Daytona Shoreline police said the
man is associated with somewhere around five assaults, and possibly has
significantly more exploited people.
Officers captured Markeith
Martin, 44, on Friday, and an investigate his past demonstrates a long criminal
history, going back decades.
Martin is charged in an assault
that happened the previous summer in Daytona Shoreline, however police said
with something like five known exploited people, they are attempting to
document more charges in those different cases.
"To me, he's a sexual
stalker," Daytona Shoreline police Boss Craig Capri said. "This present
person's a sequential attacker. He's circumventing chasing ladies and
assaulting ladies. Also, express gratitude toward God they're alive."
Specialists said Martin admitted
to an assault that happened last August.
Police said the unfortunate
casualty had halted to chip away at her bike.
Martin snatched her by the
throat, undermined over and again to cut her and after that assaulted her,
police said.
The injured individual said
Martin ended up self-reproachful a while later, and even stated, "Do you
believe I'm an awful individual for what I've done?"
There are three different cases
in Daytona Shoreline and another in Holly Slope that police said they
associated with the suspect through DNA.
"The basic example here is
to assault ladies, to assault them and to choke them, to get rough with
them," Capri said.
WFTV found a capture record going
back over 20 years for different violations. Records show Martin has 23 crimes
and 21 offenses, including various medication charges, aggressive behavior at
home, battery and exasperated strike with a fatal weapon. He has a sum of 15
feelings.
Court records show Martin was
captured in 2014 for sexual battery. The Express Lawyer's Office said they were
unfit to find the unfortunate casualty to affirm in court, so the charges were
diminished to exasperated ambush.
Martin served 37 months in jail
yet was not required to enlist as a sex wrongdoer.
Police are asking some other
potential unfortunate casualties to approach.
Martin is set to show up under
the steady gaze of a judge Saturday morning.
